We used a Women’s Weekly vanilla butter cake recipe using rice milk and Nuttlex as substitutes. We made multiple cakes to stack on top of each other sandwiched with a little butter cream and skewers through. Icing is a buttercream icing using Nuttlex instead of butter and coloured with carob powder. Decorations include edible flowers which we took off anyway (We had these growing but you can buy from delis or even Bunnings), fairy garden toadstools, fairy, sign from the cheap-shop fairy section. The door and pebbles are made with ready-roll icing from Coles and coloured. All children were under the assumption these weren’t edible so we went with that and gave my daughter a piece away from these. The little toadstool bits at the side were the same ready roll icing rolled really thin and some carob powder rubbed over these. Again these were taken off and my daughter had a piece not touching any of these.
