“Gluten-free, dairy-free, failsafe carob cake. The spider is from a cheap shop.”
“This is a poodle cake I made for my daughter. It is basic butter cake
recipe (dairy free) with icing (nuttelex and icing mixture).
Marshmallows on top. The eyes, nose and paws are Smarties. ( I gave
them to the kids without food intolerances) I made 2 cakes in
lamington tins and cut out the shapes. It’s really easy. It does look
a bit like a lamb too!!”
“This was a plain buttercake baked in a dome-shaped cake tin. I cut out the penguins’ shelf before icing it and used the extra piece of cake to make the island. The icing was just Nuttelex and icing sugar. I sprinkled grated dairy-free white chocolate on the top but desiccated coconut would work, if tolerated. The penguins came from a toy shop.”
“The cake is baked in a bundt (or ring) tin and decorated with marshmallow fondant and butter cream icing. The grey colouring is made from charcoal tablets. A false centre is created and topped with butter cream icing coloured using Hoppers Cherry Red natural food colouring and Hoppers Gold Crush 100s and 1000s – as the centre is false this doesn’t have to be eaten. A few favourite super heroes complete the scene.
